So these past few days have been about getting prepared for the year ahead. So far I’ve completed one run of 8.7km (5.4ml) without pain. This is pretty good as I’ve been recovering from a painful ITB muscle injury. So I’m pretty delighted about that.
Have also managed to buy a new weighing scales that records BMI, body fat, body water and muscle mass. None of the measurements from the first step on the scale surprised me, except possibly for body water which was 53%. Three litres of water later and it might be a better score. Official measurements start tomorrow however.
Finally, I have my weeks training planned out which is a mix of strength training and running sessions. The exact nature of Saturdays long run has to be decided but 3 * 1km hill interval running is really calling out to me.
